Looking For A Barn-Dance Band For Your Function ?

The Aldbrickham Band is a long-established country-dance band, based in Reading.   We take our name from Thomas Hardy’s place-name for Reading - found on his map of Wessex.

We perform traditional music and dances on a variety of instruments, including melodeon, concertina, fiddle, cello and piano.

A larger band with vocalist, electric guitar and drums is also available on request.

We play regularly for weddings receptions, birthday parties, schools, and other functions. We have also performed at theatres, arts centres and folk-festivals in the South of England.

Never Been To A Barn-Dance Before?

Do not worry - our expert caller will tell you exactly what to do, and ‘call’ the dances for you. Our caller will make it fun and enjoyable for all – including the complete beginner. The selection of dances will be tailored by our caller to suit those taking part .
